JUST IN CASE anyone out in blogger world is confused about me being a Christian and the little blurb I wrote on hysterical paroxym – make no mistake, I am a Christian. I am simply what God created – a real human – who has lived a real life, made real mistakes, done a few good things, and am working towards being better day by day.

But to me, being a Christian does not mean being a “prude”. I think far too many “non-Christians” see Christians as “goody two shoes”, judgmental, righteous, pious, boring, and narrow in vision. I am none of these things, nor have I ever been.

Of course, what I believe in my heart and spirit is mine and NOTHING I read, discuss, hear, or see will alter my personal beliefs. I am happy to discuss them with anyone interested, but I know EACH MAN (or woman) MUST CHOOSE what they believe ultimately. I respect that right. I will listen to others beliefs, without trepidation, I will
discuss things that may be personal, when appropriate, and I will admit the “folly” of my ways if it will help someone. I am a real human being!

Just wanted to clarify in case someone out there is judging me:)
Here is a lovely bright orange flower for you!

Umm, “NOTHING I read, discuss, hear, or see will alter my personal beliefs.” — ??

How can one be sure about that?

Doesn’t that also assume that all your personal beliefs are perfect (without error of any kind) as of this moment?

    Just Wondering 🙂

The reason I can be sure is because ,like chocolate ice cream, I’ve tried all kinds, and TO ME,NOTHING is like chocolate ice cream! I didn’t settle on my beliefs because they were “presented to me”, nor because I was told “this is the way”. I studied MANY different spiritual realms and where I settled was what I considered “true, loving, workable, enabling, and I just KNEW in my heart!

I’ve had miracles, been healed, been rescued, etc. But the reason I will not falter in what I believe is because I was so sure it is right that I PROMISED God I would never doubt, nor deny what was given to me in my heart and spirit. You don’t mess around when you make a promise to God. I sure won’t. And, I am not sorry. I am the human happy face.

I think that is why I am so open to listening to my fellow humans and their beliefs…there is wonder in many different philosophy and spiritual groups. I’ve read the book of Mormon, studied Buddhism, read books by the Dali Lama, and that just TOUCHES the surface of my studies.

If I were afraid, what kind of faith is that? I know there is wind but I’ve never seen it. But as sure as I live, I know it’s there.

No one, nothing on this earth is perfect – but I know that what I have in my heart is real and darn near close to perfect…at least for me.

A passage in the Bible mentions “peace beyond understanding” – boy am I there:)
There is also a place that says “Each man must CHOOSE.” I believe that too.

Boy I went on and on ad on, didn”t I? THANKS for your comments and interest! My husband says if I am asked a one word answer for a question – I will write a book.

I love that you’re real! Sara Groves has a song with a line that goes, “sit down awhile and share your narrative with me… I’m not afraid of who you are!” It’s one of my very favorite lines! I want to nurture relationships with people~quality people~and their life (and belief) does not hafta look *ANYTHING* like mine! (((((HUGS))))) sandi
