These zones are divided according to 3 levels probable maximum intensity for earthquakes.
In my home state California…we rock and roll on a daily basis (unbeknowns to most folks-shh, don’t tell:) There is a 70 percent increase as the shading darkens. Fascinating, eh?earthquake.jpg
