For those of you with children still at home…..

Children hear what you say, and see what you do. They mimic their parents and will learn best
by doing so. The reason I mention this is because I looked at an album of my children when they were small and I began to cry uncontrollably. I miss those hard and wonderful days. When they are gone, they are gone forever. Grandchildren are the only hope of using wisdom gained over the years.

I ALWAYS loved my children and still do! I made MANY mistakes, and THEY paid for them in pain and in living their own lives. I didn’t even REALIZE I was making such harsh mistakes! They are all wonderful, deep, loving and kind, but they saw and heard things I had NO IDEA that they did!

What you say will come back and bite you in the private and painful recesses of your heart.
No matter WHAT I DID THAT WAS RIGHT, little minds always focus on those things that you wished you’d never said or done. That is simply because those things don’t reflect the kind
and loving parent you really are. They reflect the hardships of life, the prodding of nasty people and horrible events…..If you “just drink a glass or two of wine” or “have a drink to take the edge off” be VERY AWARE that alcohol is a sneaky and insidious drug. YOU WON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU’VE DONE UNTIL IT’S ALMOST TOO LATE!

Please pay attention and REALLY don’t forget, LITTLE MINDS ABSORB MUCH MORE THAN YOU ARE AWARE OF, AND THEY DON’T FORGET!

Love them. Talk to them kindly. When you are impatient bite your own tongue and take a breath. It’s NOT THEIR FAULTS! When it is, remember they are just tiny children even late into their teens – spreading their wings, asserting their ability to begin to grow.

LOVE LOVE LOVE AND THEN LOVE THEM SOME MORE! PRAY EVERY SINGLE DAY! TRUST YOUR GUT LEVEL FEELINGS AND TRUST GOD!

Time is fleeting!
