Mark Twain made a great point (one of many). He believed that racism is “socially conditioned and is contrary to the natural inclinations of the human heart.” How profound and correct is that! We were
born to love one another.
If you’ve been fortunate enough to see the show “Body Works” you will KNOW without a doubt, underneath our skin, we are all the same physically. From within our Spirits, we all do feel pain, joy, and a plethora of emotions. We are all capable of love.
In one of Twain’s stories, Huck defies all the laws and customs of his people. Twain wrote to make his character individual in conscience…..not under the social condition of the time. That is one of the wonderful things about his writings.
We need to all think for ourselves and not march in line as followers of “customs” that goes against our own hearts! CREATE A BEAUTIFUL DAY.
I hope you enjoy this unique photo. I took this from the back steps of a home in downtown San Francisco. Art is also in the eye of the beholder! Not my cup of tea, but different strokes for different folks. š

Samuel Clemons has always been one of my favorite authors because of his way of exposing honest souls and relationships juxaposed against errant societal norms. Huck, in Clemon’s stories, wasn’t an educated boy, but he certainly was a man of conscience.
