DON’T freak out about the election!

There isn’t a whole bunch we can do about the results anyway! Personally I believe there may be a few politicians who come into office with integrity, but very few who retain that honor in ideals over the years.

Winston Churchill said it all: “Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

Here’s the deal. We are a nation who (sadly) believes what we read, hear via the grapevine, and see on television and in the movies. I truly believe whomever can spend the most to advertise has a huge advantage. That isn’t to say that the person with the most money CAN’T become a legend in truth and a job well done.

In the long run though, with all the different cultures we represent, Americans ALWAYS seem to hold together in calamity, and IF NECESSARY. Whomever becomes our next president will be the man
in charge. Therein, whether I voted for the right candidate or not, the winner will be MY president.
I will try to support, and stand behind the man and keep an open mind.

If in four years I see a sad scenario, I will have the opportunity to vote again. So whomever you vote for (and please vote) remember : WE ARE ALL AMERICANS. We are not Italian Americans, we are American Italians. We are not Black Americans, we are American Blacks. We are not Caucasian Americans, we are American Caucasians. We are not Mexican Americans, we are American Mexicans. We are not European descent Americans, we are Americans with European descent. Get it?

First of all I am grateful, and proud to be American! Funny, the American Indians are the only ones who get it right! VOTE. Be PROUD to be living in the greatest country in the world, with all it’s flaws and problems. Have a FANTASTIC day and don’ forget to vote!

I am just glad it’s over! I am very happy that so many people turned out to vote, and I totally agree with you we are AMERICANS first. There is no pure bloodline we are a melting pot and are melting more and more every year.

We are just a bunch of mutts and half-breeds, but I’ve got to say, every “mutt” puppy I’ve had has been a hummer! 🙂
