Have you read about this executive order?

Do not misunderstand. I am an American and hope and pray that our current president will be
able to truly initiate the promised changes. I do not want him to fail as it could be critical for the citizens of not JUST America – but globally too!

However, I just read something I hadn’t been aware of until this morning. President Obama has an executive order that provides U.S. tax supported funding for abortions not only in the United States, but around the world. Put a price tag on that little number and it will be stunning.

I worked in a Woman’s Clinic about 10 years ago and even at that time many women had all the charges of an abortion covered by government. The price tag then for those that paid was hefty then. Now – I care not to estimate the cost of that order alone.

If you want to know my position on abortion you can refer back to my post entitled:
The Land of Os (3 posts sometime around April of 2007.)

My little mama shared lots of wisdom with me all my life. She told me once, “The only things you can be sure of are God and change.” She also told me that change is what life is all about. You never really know what is coming, good or bad. We have no choice about most of the circumstances of our years on this planet.

We do have ALWAYS the choice of how we respond to circumstances. I am a survivor of going to hell and back in my lifetime. I promised God I will never grow cold and hard as my years increase. I will never let my faith falter, and I will always keep hope in my heart.

FEAR of what’s next can paralyze you if you let it. Take a breath. Take another and remember
love is still around. With the BEST of circumstances in a life humans still NEVER know what’s next. Worrying about it (I am not saying don’t try to change things), but mentally becoming stagnant with worry will only procreate negativity and any chance of joy!

Hug somebody. Smile. Take another breath and look around – the media mostly sucks and loves to feed on negativity and fear. Let it roll off your backs and consider there are millions of good stories we don’t hear about every single day.

Do something kind today. Remember there are millions of people who really care about others!
PRAY and use this moment in time to be happy. 🙂

Read the fine print and this executive order made it impossible for the organizations that even give referrals for abortions to receive aid. Basically, if you tell your patients that this is an option then you won’t get funding. It’s legislation that’s gone back and forth between republican and democrat administrations for decades. It’s almost a rite of passage to sign this thing when a new administration takes office.

As far as providing funding for abortions, well, if someone needs financial help for that think how much it would cost the state to help them raise their children.

Internationally, think about Africa, where there are a lot of people infected with HIV. There is a huge population growth because people aren’t educated about their options or are too poor to afford an abortion. This is bad because a lot of the children are orphaned because their parents die from AIDs. Or, the children are HIV infected themselves and/or are starving because Africa is so impoverished.

I thank you for your clarification on these points. I find all valid! Excellent
and different perspective than in my post. That’s the kind of feedback that can
open up new venues of thought for us all to ponder, and perhaps widen our views.

Perhaps part of my perspective comes from experiencing a tightened belt buckle.
    Thanks again! 🙂
