George Clooney or Brad Pitt and Angelina AND Halloween

Who is your favorite? Or favorites?

For me it is NOT EVEN George Clooney and his bride. He spent over $12 million dollars on their wedding. That seems ludicrous to me with so much poverty in the world.

One “tiny” little million donated to some needy situation, could save lives and make all the difference to many people. My personal feeling is that Hollyweird gets away with murder and the “stars” are paid way too much for their skills.

On the other hand, Brad and Angelina are always donating and Brad actually worked on building homes after Katrina. Angelina donates her time, as well, to those who need hope. And she physically donates her time, as well.

I was honestly never crazy about her until I saw an article about their recent wedding. It was modest. Their children were in it, they had about twenty guests, and the children’s artwork was on her veil.

AngelinaIt was such a loving gesture, and after reading about them – my vote is Brad and Angelina!   I never thought Clooney was very handsome – certainly not what the media reflects to the peasants (I am included in that).

I heard on the news last night it would be improper to have a costume that represented someone with mental problems. Yet Hollyweird produces such shows a “Freak show”, and gets away with it.

“They” put in movies smoking, drugs, violence, sexual violence connected with rape and other problems we ALREADY KNOW ABOUT! They sensationalize the things that are going rampant in the USA.

Don’t ever believe that the influence these movies have on kids is minimal. Television, DVD or theatre, the influence is profound. PLEASE monitor your children. I don’t think any young person intends to do what is dangerous for their minds or bodies, but human have a natural tendency to mostly be “followers”.

We are creatures of habit, and if enough evil enters anyone’s mind, it is a sure bet it will produce like actions.

Whether you have children or not, these young people will be our next leaders. Give them the moral and mental training to be strong and think independently of what they are being fed!

Lastly, my husband brought up a good point. Halloween has always been my least favorite holiday because it promotes evil and a surplus of sugar and alcohol. Of course I love seeing children in costumes, but seeing them go door to door offends my good senses.

My husband said, “Halloween sends the wrong messages on all levels. What happened to the old saying, DON’T TAKE CANDY FROM STRANGERS?”

Children parade door to door to stranger’s houses, and ask for candy. DUH.

I never thought of it that way, but it is right on.

Who profits from Halloween? Costume makers, candy makers, and dentists, aside from the fact horror and blood and guts is the theme. What’s wrong with that picture?

Perhaps you haven’t heard what happened a few years ago. Here are a couple of horror stories.

A few years ago, someone put needles into apples. Someone also injected poison into “something” that was passed out to children.

Take them to a party in a home, but remember YOU are in charge – they should not be the bosses of you just because you get tired of being the enforcer.

If you LOVE your children, get back to being the boss. Make sure also, technology does not RULE your family and your children. Ultimately those who fall under the rule of technology will make great “workers” for the ultra-rich….

        Marsha,
Susan is my middle name – hence Susie. When I started off with writing 3 month’s back, i was shy in so many ways, without confidence, totally wretched up. Now that I’ve started writing and have so many blog friends, with whom I can share almost anything, I feel more confident and better. At that time ‘Shy” seemed a good nickname to me. And Susie and Shy rhymed quite well- I love rhymes and rhythms- hence my blog name.
The gravatar is again a manifestation of my shyness, hiding my face behind my cat. I feel people might judge me if they see my face and know who I am.
