This is what I think today

July 20, 2014

This post is my stance on what is happening in our society in the USA.

If I sound, in length here, wild and ranting a bit, I very well may be. I am fairly- no totally disgusted with so many things I am not sure where to start.

If you watch ANY news you will find the media pitting one country against the other. The horror of those killed on one side – the horrific splay of missiles being shot at the other.

Give sympathy to both and encourage then instill the hated and anger with each other.

Who shot the passenger airline down? Biden jumped the gun and with his hollow and unintelligent mumblings saying Russia blew the plane out of the sky. The “U.S.” concluded this. No, no, no…. those in “charge”, our rich and poorly representing government officials concluded this and the media assertively (but with obvious bowing to them) headlined it.

Russia against Ukraine – the United States against Russia. Sorrow, discontent, anger and then hatred.

Strange how hated is building for Russia since it gave Snowden asylum.

What happened to the Marine who accidentally went into Mexico? Where is the traitor Obama traded 5 terrorists for now?

Wow. One Marine accidentally goes into Mexico and is jailed?

62,000 children (and many mothers) come across our borders and our beloved obama makes sure he gets (I figured this out from the amounts obama requested) $25,000. per child to house and feed.

Problem with that is these children and mothers are being placed all over the country and they will be untraceable, melding into the 11 million illegal Mexicans already here.

Children are often are brought here by criminal enterprises that smuggle them through Mexico and into the United States. When they get across the border, the children often seek out American border guards. They know the Americans will help them and send to a facility with food and other services.

However, that being said, it is amazing with the violence in Mexico and the Cartel and terrorist criminals, that the children arrived safely – no kidnappings, no beheadings, no murders, rapes or forced child labor. Thank God.

Of course no one wants a child hurt ever, but still – how they got here is a wonder! Many have scabies and lice, and many have not had MMRV vaccines, thus possibly spreading disease ( if they enroll in school or are around children) to the children whose families questioned vaccinating their children.

Welcome to NLA (North Latin America), or MexiAmerica where Christians and white people are bad. I wonder how many of the south American mothers entering are pregnant? How many will land in rich households to be maids and gardeners for government officials and CEO’s of companies.

Some are being housed in L.A. and homeless are protesting because they are citizens and no one is providing housing for them. There are thousands on the streets.

It would be a good idea too, as a special amount of water in this drought, is being saved to wash urine and fecal matter from the homeless off of the sidewalks.

obama is a racist. He denies his white all together. If you wonder why I don’t capitalize obama, it is my way of showing disrespect.

Now to the latest fad-smoking the HOOKAH- 1 hour’s worth is comparable to smoking 200 cigarettes! Yuk. Slow suicide.

Much is made of cyber-bullying. I am sorry deaths have been reported because of this phenomenon. To me this says children and teens are spending way too much time on line, and on their phones. Duh!

Bullying in schools has gone on as long as I can remember – and I have a great memory and a few decades to have learned one or two things. Bullying is cruel. Where there are growing young minds, there will always be the mean ones! They are probably the ones who turn into bad adults. But my generation handled bullying in person, with people when it happened. There are some terrible things about technology, along side with the good, and I wish it weren’t that way, but it is.

Also the illusion that on line a child can have hundreds of friends is dangerous and a flawed misnomer. Much of what is on line, in magazines, and presented to us is simply lies promoting SALES! Also, of course, racism, anger, judgments, smoking, alcohol use, jealousy, and violence are condoned and promoted through movies. Holly weird loves to pass its messages on to the public.

Fact. Did you know only three percent of the population is actually gay or lesbian? Did you also know many state courts have turned the decision the people voted on (several more votes than one), to keep marriage sanctioned only between men and women, to accommodate the voice of the gay and lesbian community? The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

We live in a toxic, desensitized, technology-addicting environment. Some of the top shows are the sleaziest, most violent, depraved, and self-deprecating pieces of work ever presented to the public. Big brother is controlling the minds of all ages – has been doing so for years.

I know love and Spirit and God are still alive and well. I know that the USA has millions and millions of citizens that are still rooted in moral principles, and want peace between citizens and other countries.

I just wish everyone around the world would not “clump” the “people of the USA” with the government, politics and the media. That is the biggest lie of all. I know the heart of the people has hope and cares about other real citizens of this country and other countries I would love to see the “people” of all countries be represented fairly instead of by the corrupt behavior and greed of so few in charge.

There will be a time.

Forgive me if there are errors. I broke my wrist a week ago, had surgery to put in plate and screws day before yesterday, and I am typing with my right hand. (I am left-handed.)

Stay strong. Keep your line of demarcation for your principles and life’s direction visible and guarded. God bless us all!

Just a quick post with two specific thoughts for the day!

June 20, 2014

I read that Friday between 11AM – 5PM are the most dangerous hours to encounter “red light” runners.  Perhaps these are people trying to hurry for the weekend, or whatever their reason for doing it, you will encounter the most people who just keep going through a red light, on this day, between these hours.

Be careful.  I have seen some terrible accidents caused by these people, and yet they often walk away without harm to themselves or their vehicles.  Really crazy driving is just like holding a loaded gun and not paying attention to where you aim or when you shoot!

Locally a woman who admitted to being on meth, and being drunk, hit a twenty year old woman on a small motorcycle, and she killed her!  So just heed this warning and be a defensive driver.  You are not going to get where you are going any faster by being an impolite pig on the road.  (I am not calling you personally an impolite pig, but if you might be – you know who you are!)

You can SAVE lives by using manners and following the rules of the road.

————————————-

I am NOT bragging, but just want to relate a little story with a good ending (for me).  I was buying corn on the cob yesterday and a very elderly little lady was looking it over closely.  I was near the bags and just ask, “Would you like a bag?”  She said yes.  She looked pretty grumpy.

As she filled the bag I noticed her bag had broken and I got her another and handed it to her.  She worked hard to get her corn in the second bag.  When she was done she looked at me and without a smile, said sincerely, “Thank you very much for getting me the bags.”

I simply replied, “Well, we are supposed to love one another, aren’t we?”

She then turned her head and looked at me and smiled, and said,”Well, yes, I guess we are.”  Then she pushed her cart and was on her way.

The point of this little story.  All I did was get her a couple of little bags, but in doing so, I know she felt like she knew someone cared enough to do it.  I could feel her being so pleased I mentioned loving one another.  She probably forgot all about it on the next aisle, but I have to say, I felt good about it all day because it was so easy to do a small kindness for someone.  It felt like I had shared something important with a total stranger.  I felt like my “love vibration” may have been passed along to another – and I hoped we all do some little kindness to lighten even a small burden for another human being each day.

Try it, you’ll like it!  Don’t forget – YOU ARE IN CHARGE OF YOUR LIFE  one hundred percent…perhaps not what happens, but ALWAYS, how you respond.  Take a breath, use your intellect, and handle it with class and decorum.

God bless you!

Black Widow Spiders

June 15, 2014

First, I would like to say Happy Father’s Day to all you guys who have worked so hard to be a good dad! It is one of the toughest jobs a man can have, and the most enduring- even if unemployment is up! THANK YOU for sticking with it; those little ones need you guys…so to dads, step-dads, and all you guys who participate in the lives of children thank you for your dedication and patience!

BY THE WAY, this post just shows another important task of you fathers….protecting the little ones!  Also those women who might be afraid of spiders, for instance, myself!

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!!!!!

—————————————————————

Last evening my husband took a tour of our garage to find and “rid” us of any black widow spiders. He does this in the summer as they love dark places and our garage is a favorite hangout (also under things such as BBQ’s, outdoor tables, inside of wood piles-just as examples.)black widow

He found this one and asked if I would like to take a photo. She let me get quite close (though not too close for my comfort) – she was a big one. There are only four things I will kill if necessary: venomous spiders rattle snakes, mosquitoes and flies. The National Geographic website had this to report about black widows.

“This spider’s bite is much feared because its venom is reported to be 15 times stronger than a rattlesnake’s. In humans, bites produce muscle aches, nausea, and a paralysis of the diaphragm that can make breathing difficult; however, contrary to popular belief, most people who are bitten suffer no serious damage—let alone death. But bites can be fatal—usually to small children, the elderly, or the infirm. Fortunately, fatalities are fairly rare; the spiders are non-aggressive and bite only in self-defense, such as when someone accidentally sits on them.”

I think it is extremely important to put deet (mosquito repellent) on children and adults, if you are able. There is a new virus that makes a person very ill. Also, I have never been certain that they do not carry the aids virus. They do “take your blood” when they bite.

It always pays to be aware of some spiders – for your children’s safety. I wrote a post a while back about the brown recluse, and posted a photo of the damage one can do…it is deadly.

Northern California host’s lots of rattle snakes. Clearly if you hear a rattle and there isn’t a baby around – keep your eyes keenly aware of your surroundings.

This isn’t to alarm anyone, but knowledge is power when used and we all should share information that could be life saving. Someone made me aware of the brown recluse.

Oh the web of a black widow is very sticky-you can tell if it’s a black widow; and they hide during the light.

Enjoy the great outdoors – enjoy nature – just use good sense, and particularly for the little ones as they trust you to care for them. Have a beautiful day and a safe one! God bless you all.

I will be placing this same post on the stressmanagementmagic.com website today because of it’s importance to us all.

4 MILLION women are beaten and abused each year.

June 6, 2014

Is that shocking?

Well how’s this for a shocker? That is in the USA – not a third world country! I tried to find statistics on men being beaten or killed by their spouse or partner, but I came up with pretty much nothing. I know there have been some such instances.

The leading cause of violence to women fifteen to forty-four, ( car accidents, mugging and rapes combined) is caused by their husband or domestic partner.)

Here is another stunning fact. 16% of young men between the ages of eleven and twenty are serving time for killing their mother’s abusers.

Something is wrong with this picture! Agreed!

I spoke to a weapons expert in length day before yesterday, and he was kind enough to share some pretty important tips for women who are, or may be in a position to be beaten,

or even worse.   Marshall also teaches a self-defense class.

He seemed appalled that anyone would touch a woman in that manner. He seems to be a really decent man. This is what he shared with me.

1. No stun gun. The stun gun must be held against a person 15 seconds to be effective. In an emergency situation, one mistake and it’s over.

2. No knife. Same result if you aren’t fast and an expert.

3. No gun – unless you have a permit to carry a concealed weapon, know how to use it, and are defending your own life. God forbid you are ever in that scenario!

4. No taser as you have to aim and hit dead on. Even if that happens the connection can be pulled off in most circumstances. Police almost always have a back-up.

5. Pepper Spray – YES! YES! YES! Have your pepper spray in a pocket or concealed within immediate reach. Before he can reach you, spray directly in his eyes. It has to be either in your hand so it is unseen, or concealed in some manner, because if he sees it he can block the spray from his eyes.

This is something Marshall told me that I found extremely interesting. Once you spray the attacker – keep spraying directly in the eyes until the canister is completely empty!

That is important.

He assured me that if you use the whole can you will have time to grab whatever you need (like car keys and a purse)-pick- up the baby (babies) – and escape.

It will not permanently damage the eyes, but will disable your attacker.

He suggested that if you’ve never used a pepper spray before, buy an extra one and go some place and practice.

Practice the “draw”- practice spraying – spray the entire container, and practice, practice, practice.

Rehearse it in your mind an emergency scenario. Keep in mind wind/or a fan can send the spray where it shouldn’t go, so be careful!

Another tip I got was when you are walking alone, keep spray in hand, or car keys. Don’t put yourself in harm’s way, and walk proudly, keeping an eye on your surroundings if you feel insecure.

I firmly believe if a man or woman is drunk – IT IS NOT the time to fight.  Drunks cannot be reasoned with, and sometimes get violent.  Also, I have known women who “egg a man on” – taunt him with words that instigate a man to loose control.  NO that is not reason to abuse physically, but women can sometimes STOP a situation from accelerating by simply being quiet and walking away.

Some good  advice is to NOT listen to music or TALK ON THE PHONE, when you are the least bit nervous about walking or running. Those things put you at a real disadvantage. I know it’s not the most fun, but neither is abuse!

LASTLY – I am aware that there are men who are abused.

I actually have known a man who had a knife drawn on him by his own wife.

In the instance of man vs. woman, I believe that men are born stronger than women…even a small man can probably handle a woman strength-wise. I actually had an attempted rape by a man much smaller than myself. He was able to drop me on the floor quickly.

I thank God I was able to talk my way out of that situation.

Honestly, I do not know how a man would handle a woman abuser, except possibly “contain” her until she calms down – or better yet, WALK AWAY! Get out of the situation, and don’t return for more unless there is a conversation, and counseling. Why put yourself in a volitale position?

I pray you never have ANY abuse (verbal or physical) – man, or woman.  Let’s try to use our intelligence to solve problems…..Have a safe weekend and God bless you!

May 2, 2014

Just a quick Thursday good morning, afternoon or evening to you . The days are flying by and I have been trying to complete six books before it’s time to die. No one knows when that will happen and I have spent most of my life writing so I determined sometime after my accident no one will finish what it’s taken me years to write – except me!

Believe it or not they are mostly written – the most difficult part is proofing, making covers and getting everything just right to be put on Amazon. I had a contract with a publishing company for one of my books – the one on how to care for an aging parent – but they sat on it for seven years and I am blessed those years just finished.

I have reconciled, to accept my disabilities as permanent-only because of my faith in God, and my tenacious drive for life, can I do this.  It was a year ago today I was in surgery with a great neurosurgeon (thank you Lord) and getting my back fixed after a burst compression fracture.  I could be completely paralyzed, or dead!

To accept my disabilities as permanent is difficult, but not impossible. Such is life. It isn’t always what we expect, but I expect the best, and perhaps my vision will be clearer now that I am unable to dance all over the place! I can walk (it’s not a very pretty walk), and I have to use a can, and I can write. I can dance in a way, and surely in my head.

I am a stubborn little woman, and my husband still says, after 26 years, a hand full.

So the books will be done within this year. That is my determination. This is what they are:

  1. Lessons in Love – about taking care of a parent, giving them happiness until they die, and not going crazy or getting exhausted in the process. It’s kind of a love story about me caring for my mama for ten years – and we both gained from it!

I am exhausted tonight so I will ignore any typos (sorry!)

2.Whiskeyton. Has nothing to do with Whiskey! This photography- views of a lake and the surrounding mountains from a kayak. Took me from 2004-20011 to get all the photographs, and there will be inspiration (I hope) with each photo, and a Bible verse below. I think, whether you believe in the Bible or not, it is a great book for training in life. It will be for children and adults.

3. The Last Resort – Photographs (again), a  view of the homeless in my area, and of course some interviews and thoughts on the scenario.

4.  Toll 63 – a very interesting book about the lives of an oilman in the early days, a disabled and vibrant young woman, and what transpires when they join forces.  It progresses and follows the life of one of their twins.  The time spans from 1916 to this very day!  I love it so far – do you think I am predjudice?

4.  The Best Bedtime Stories. Positive and fun, the stories are done and I am just waiting for the illustrations.

5.  Poetry, Prose and Private Property.  This book could spares no details and touches every aspect of being human!

I am not trying to brag, there are so many unbelievable authors, but I feel good about my work.  I feel like it is from the heart, experience, and always with a positive overtone – no matter how difficult the experience.

Therein is why my posts have been thin in nature.

I am not trying to brag, but I am not a “salesperson” and if I don’t know the quality of my own “products” I should not sell!  I do think God gives each of us a gift and I am working hard at using it!

Well, that’s it for now. Just an update as to where I have been. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE – don’t waste a second of your precious life in anger, fear, or hate. It is NOT WORTH IT as you truly will be the one who pays the big price.

LOVE ONE ANOTHER. I love you for reading! I love you for being my brother and sister human beings! God bless you and your families. I mean it sincerely!

This morning’s post is rather scattered, but I never claimed to be one hundred percent normal.

December 11, 2013

This is where I am this morning – where ever it may be:
When I can’t lift my feet to move out of the bed and wonder
Why there is another morning
My mind turns to the men and the women who have given
Their limbs, their lives,
To defend career politicians

Each time before a plunder or a war, they permeates our minds,
With hatred contempt, and wasted time spend hating the whole world blind.
He never knew why the hatred current raged,

He never knew why his directive was to become engaged
To kill at will, to find and maim, he was taught to be loyal to our country,
His efforts would keep us free.

They lied to our children, they lied to us, now we are seated in a
Place of ill trust.  Bleed the workers dry.  Let the sluffers lie.
.

When I try to walk and the pain shoots through my leg like a bullet,
I remember I have never seen bullets fly.
I have never seen the blood of a stranger I had to kill.

These men and women so valiantly stand, while the politicians
Just smile and put out their hand.
I want a trip, time off with the family, take your guns away, but
My guard is a dandy.

Suits and ties cover lies for a while, a band of white teeth
Spread across a smiling face, why it is our politicians,
Cheating on wives, lying to our faces, writing bad checks, they still have their places.

Why shouldn’t they smile they have it all, had millions to spend on elections, and now
Everything is tfor them for free – dash the salary.  Who needs it?

This is scattered like my emotions.  My pain is overwhelming; I cannot even imagine the courage of this brave group of souls who are guardians to our nation.  They give
Limbs and lives believing they are protecting the sovereignty of our beautiful nation,
While elected officials, all along, plan their vacation.

Centered I must be now and face my pain. Faith carries me to where I must go, though where it may be, I simply don’t know. My heart and my prayers and my gratitude to all who have died – and to those who suffer far more than me, for to live in continuous
pain and anguish is the hardest of all, these young men and women, these babes from our arms sent to war after war.

While the cronies laugh amongst themselves, reveling in their power and might, the people, we know – something’s not right.  It must change.  No more wars, no more
playing of the world like a monopoly game.

I wonder what would happen if each one in power was to find themselves required to send one son or daughter to the front lines of a war.  Required to watch as they come
home without limbs or in a body bag.  Do you think this would open their eyes.

Do you know there is only a VERY TINY percentage of men and women in our congress now who have served in the armed forces?  They don’t feel our pain, our poverty, our loss.  They don’t care, I swear.

The band of citizens is growing in numbers – a group united by God and living souls.
There will be a time of remorse to many, but their time will have passed.

I still believe in the power of one person to make a difference.  You will have a domino effect on those in the circle of your life. The world’s peoples are growing impatient with the greedy bastards.  Power with love and what is right.  Never give up or give in.  I won’t – I promise.

Little Bird

December 4, 2013

Little Bird remembered the day she took flight for the first time.  She had dreamed of this day.  Her little wings opened and she shook for a moment with fear.

Her mama said, “Fly birdie, fly.  You have the sky as your playground and the world is a beautiful place.

Little Bird  took a breath and then pushed forward, out of the nest, and from the top of the tree she flew. She felt wobbly at first and then she remembered how much she had wanted to fly

Open wings, and open heart, she glided to and fro and felt the wind against her little body.  It was heaven.  It was as wonderful as she knew it would be and she was happy.

She knew she was meant to fly.  She was graceful in the sky and a very happy little bird.

One day she flew past a window and saw a young girl lying in bed.  The girl smiled as she saw the bird, and so the little bird dove past the window over and over again.

Each time the child smiled, and when the little bird perched on the limb of the oak, very near the window where the little girl lie so still, the little girl giggled.

One day the young girl left her bed.  She left the house with her mama and began to run and play with other children.  Little Bird kept watching and was happy for the young girl.  She felt that she had been a part of the little girl healing.  She knew smiles and laughter was good, and she felt good knowing she had added to the young girl’s life.

Weeks melded into months, and the little bird flew and watched from her perch as the young girl left and came home..  The girl smiled and laughed.  The little bird was happy, though she was sad too, because she didn’t want to fly away in case the little girl needed her, and all her friends had gone.  Still, she decided to be near…just in case.

One day the Little Bird ventured higher into the sky than she had ever gone.  Without warning a big Hawk slammed into the little bird, and she could feel the pain in her wing starting to ache.  The Hawk flew away unharmed, but the little bird knew she was in trouble.

She began to loose altitude and could only try to glide with one wing working, to land safely below.  When she awoke, Little Bird found herself lying on the soft dirt by the window of the young girl’s bedroom.  She tried, but could not get her broken wing to work right.

She was grateful she had not landed on the sidewalk, but now began to tremble thinking about the big black cat she had seen several days earlier.  All she could do was wait and hope the cat would not come around.

She fell asleep, exhausted from the fall and the injury.  When she awoke, she felt warmth and opened her eyes to find herself in the palm of the young girl’s hand.

Little Bird

“Oh look mama”, said the young girl.” “My birdie has fallen and injured itself.  We must help this little bird to heal, just like the little bird helped me when I was sick.”

The little bird felt better already, and was grateful she had stayed near the little girl.

Slowly the little bird got stronger, and though the wing never did get strong enough for her to fly, the little bird now had a new home that was safe from the black cat.

Though she would NEVER fly again, she knew she was loved, and found she found she could do something else that the young girl just loved.  She could sing!

She sang, “If you break your wing, don’t forget to sing.

Sing a song and it will heal your heart

Sing a song, it is very smart.

For if you cannot do  thing you like

You can create another joy,

For God gave many, many gifts,

To every girl and boy.”

 ————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

I am learning to sing.  God bless us all.  Keep those prayers active for the folks in the Philippines.

Pain?

October 30, 2013

I awoke this morning and knew if I moved it would be painful.  So I moved.  I lay for a moment and thought: “What shall the day bring?”  Pain sucks, and we all know it.  We all have pain.  It comes with being of the human kind. I lay looking at the ceiling fan and thought of Shakespeare and God.  Not in that order . Methinks it would humblest my soul, and rightly so, to bend upon knees and pray for strength and power to move forward in this day. Alas, I cannot bow, as yet, my weakened back and legs will not let me follow my heart. God knows I want to bow.  So I closed my eyes and thought, I have not yet shed blood for those I love.

My sacrifices have been small thus far.  Perhaps today I will find a way to shine the light of God from within and shower someone with love purely for love’s sake. When I am at my weakest, God is at His strongest for me.  I know that.  There is not a question in my heart.  So, I meandered to the kitchen and poured that steamy cup of coffee.  I immediately added a teaspon of the sweet stuff and a bit of milk.  These days the taste that used to be pure coffee, is rather different.  Perhaps I am.

Here I sit doing what I love to do – writing.  My dog looked at me, with those eyes, and here she sits next to me.  I can feel her breathing quietly.  She is happy.  I am happy too.Today I will rise above my challenges and see what I can do to make a difference!  I want to be one of the lights in all the darkness that abides with vigor at this time.of need on our planet.  Our lights will diminish the darkness, one at a time.

Praise God, or if He hasn’t found you, appreciate and be grateful for the smallest thing. It will change your day and diminish your pain – no matter how bad you think it is. Don’t give the pain the power.  Grasp it in your hand and pull yourself up by the power of God, and the power of YOU.You can do it.  I am.  I care and I really love you – where ever you are – and whom ever you are.  We are family.  Earthlings dwelling on our planet together for a brief moment in time.

FYI

September 17, 2013

Some spices may be laced with salmonella.  seven percent of imported spices carry salmonella.  Some 15 percent of coriander, twelve percent of oregano and basil and four percent of black pepper tested positive.  The infection causes diarrhea, fever, cramps, and in RARE cases death.  Best way to avoid being sickened is to apply before cooking – since heat kills the bacteria.

————————————–

I read an article that said on average left-handed people earn six percent less than right- handed people.  Researches speculate the difference is caused by brain abnormalities that are more common among the left-handed.  (Reference Qz.com) – AND YOU BET I will check this out.  I am left-handed.

“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward.  So you have to TRUST that the dots will somehow connect in your future.  You have to trust in something-your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever.  This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”

I had a TERRIBLE PAIN day!  But guess what?  Life goes on.  I managed it as best as possible, took care of what needed to be done, and remembered that any moment could be my last one – so I worked through the pain and whatever limits it puts on my life, smiled, and thought… “Whatever” – this too shall pass.  Be happy!  I had a good day. I am still in terrible pain, but maybe tomorrow it will settle down….who knows!

I just refuse to be miserable, and I will never give up, and never give in.  No miserable sourpuss in my home!  Just happy little me.  Onward and upward.  YOU BE HAPPY TOO!  God bless.  Here is a bouquet for you!

I am fairly sizzling with zeal and enthusiasm!

July 28, 2013

I have a long way to go in the “healing arena”, but I am on my way.  God bless you all and God bless God!

Never give up, and never give in.  Even when you feel the best is over – it’s not!   It’s a choice.  A new way, a new day, a new time to adjust your thinking to accommodate room for all the wonderful things that may happen, all the new challenges you will have, and all the surprises along the way.

You KNOW it’s not getting to the top of the mountain that is exciting, but the thrill of the trail winding to the top that is exciting.

I am as sure this morning, as anyone can ever be, I have great times too come.  As a matter of fact, I am pulling them towards me by keeping my faith, using prayer as an ally and being willing to work hard enough to feel the sting of “positive pain” in healing.

I am also of a mind that if you do not allow ANYTHING to pull you down, except for those times you allow yourself to mourn a loss, or even times to feel sorrow or sadness,  you will hang on to the hope of a new dream – maybe more than one!  Allot time for human emotion to wrench your heart, and then  onward and upward, my friend.

NEVER let fear or pain take charge.  You are in charge.  When the winds of change are raging, keep your faith – and if you haven’t used the power of prayer or faith – why not try to pray now.  If that just isn’t your bag, well, I promise, if you keep a positive attitude, are kind and work hard…..good things will come to you.  You are rooted with divine love and if you keep on “keepin’ on”, divine love will bring you to a new place in your life.

Dare to be what you are meant to be and do what you are meant to do, and life will provide you the means to do it and be it.  It is never too late to rephrase your thoughts, refine and correct your words, and take the first steps to reactivate dreams for your life.  Don’t forget, either, age has nothing to do with it at all.  Late bloomers flower bigger!

The most important and first exercise to do in order to change your life and manifest your dreams, is to exercise your intellect.  Work on patience, drop those negative words and thoughts, and every time you are about to step into another deep hole, take a breath and stop.

It is ALL a choice.  Every moment of your life is a choice.  Don’t think you have control over anything that happens.  Mostly we don’t.  But you ALWAYS have the choice in how to respond to life.

We each live in a world of our own thoughts………….by altering your thoughts, whenever YOU REALLY WANT TO,  you will change your life.  It will take practice, but if you choose your thoughts carefully, and change your consciousness,,, you will find there is no limit to the heights to which you can climb.

CREATE a wonderful day full of each moment having relevance and I will do the same.

By the way, an update on my accident and healing.  I am WALKING with a walker.  I hit a milestone yesterday.  I can drive (safely) to physical therapy.  I will be going under intense physical therapy three times a week for three months, and then we’ll see about the walker!  And, even though my left ankle is still paralyzed, I was given a gift.  My right foot is numb on the outside rim (and all the way up my leg), but there is enough feeling in the middle of my foot, and my ankle works, so I can really drive safely!

I would never drive were there a doubt in my mind.  Remember, three months ago I couldn’t walk!  I am so excited to find out where this new path is leading me.  I have cried, and mourned, and now I am a happy puppy taking baby steps.  Yahoo.  God is good.  God bless you all, and remember: It’s a choice.”

Choose life.  🙂

I took this photo on photo booth right before my last doctor appointment.  I no longer have to wear this hot and heavy turtle shell brace.

Photo on 2013-07-01 at 15.42 But I am grateful for the safety it provided me the first three months.  The photo below is the first one after learning I no longer have to wear it!
