Dream

September 19, 2016

I recently saw a movie entitled “Equals” – my husband slept through most of it, though it rang several familiar bells in my head.  It was okay, but just gently interesting and and basically a love story.  It reminded me of a book I had read years and years ago – “1984 (better remembered as “Big Brother).

I actually followed up on that thought and found the director or producer of this filmed had pretty much followed the books theme.  As many current movies do, an older book or movie is picked clean and presented to the multitudes as a “new and spectacular” themed movie.

The Bible says:  “There is nothing new under the sun….” What it means is that anything we experience now has already been experienced and to believe that you have a fresh new idea, way of thinking, activity or anything than you are mistaken. Everything that can be thought of already has – only much of it is lost in history. It is not referring to reincarnation – however, that is another discussion altogether.

So I post today something I dreamed sometime in 2013.  I was recovering from two major spinal surgeries, so my dreams and my writing exploded.  I couldn’t do much else at that point.  But most of the things I wrote were just filed in a “writing” folder – with the intention of completing them at some point.

My mind was imploding we thoughts and feelings, and in that situation, if I had not written them down I might have blown at any moment!  As I shuffled through the file this morning I found this dream that I  experienced.

I say “experienced” because if you have read any of my prior dreams posted you would know my dreams are my “other life”.  A life I remember, and actually often can close my eyes and begin again at the same place!

So here it is :

DEVIL JUICE

The devils come out to play at night,

You must usher them gone in the light.

Inescapable, something written in the stars,

Not from Neptune – or Jupiter, – or mars.

Thwart their moves and push their plots away.

In Jesus name you have control

Today and every day.

You know who the devils are.

It never occurred to me that I would one day push a little girl off a ragged cliff and send her tumbling down into a rapidly flowing river. I had to do it. She was going invaded and consumed by satan.

It all began after the irreversible vaporization of much of the common population. No one knew if they were next. The thought police had begun the task years before, but the commons were transfixed with self and possessions. They hadn’t a clue they were already doomed. It began in mid century of the twenty third century. The Watchers knew as they listened past the inconsequential affair the commons seemed to have with the Leaders. Some thought it was impossible not to be caught up in the faces and folly they professed to the Commons. Watchers knew differently.

Dwellings still had the appearance of when they were all free, but we knew. We knew we were being scouted and appraised every moment of the day. We knew we could be plucked from our lives as easily as one plucked a petal off of a flower – in the day – when flowers were fragrant and followed the natural way to death and rebirth.

My days had been filled with Addison. Thoughts of rolling over and over with him in the sand, hot on our bare bodies, took over any sense that remained in my intellect.

If I wasn’t in the midst of remembering torrent love making, I was planning on our next encounter with thought, and thinking of our last.

When the three women moved into the stack below us, a chill ran across my back.

It wasn’t their appearances or demeanor, but something from within my gut told me these women were more than trouble; they were possessed.

Demons found it easy to disguise and enter a pure soul. There were still many hiding. People had been deceived for so long, the Quiet People found it necessary to begin to hide in more unusual ways. All a demon- plagued humans needed to do was offer a drink of devil juice, and gently nestle into the pure spirit from within each person. Once the spirit was diminished it was easy to guide these persons into a corrupt morality and vision. Once activated in a person, it was then his or her thought could find a no way to recover from the loss. Of course evil was still in control of most of the people of the planet and even those untouched were forced to go into hiding – at least their true knowledge.

It took re-education to train the untouchable ones. Thought police were everywhere and also were easily disguised. Untouchable ones were forced to stay in the hollows most hours of the day. The longer they remained in the Light from the Light, the stronger they became and the more resistant to tamper and experiment with “the juice”

There were ways to connect, but always with caution. Addison and I had known each other before the day of vaporization. We had a small circle of friends who were able to manifest the hollow mode and enter the hollows until they were certain those new were cleared.

No one Quiet people drank any form of devil juice. Thought police were aware of this and so it was urgent that they maintain neutral and hollow positions now, for most of the time. Night was of specific danger as the pathway to destruction widened and anyone who wanted to drink was able to get it for free. Laws regarding age limits, and any limits on the juice that had been active for years, were disregarded as soon as the earth turned to the point of darkness.

For that time it was best for all untouchable ones to lock themselves in their stack and simply withdraw until dawn. It was as easy as that, and as difficult. The temptation was always there as the noise of the night was not monitored or curbed in any way. The only way to close out the outer world was to play loud music – which of course -all untouchable ones did.

Addison and I did not live together. He had been discovered dead five years earlier, however, the death was planned and though I was not aware of it, he actually survived in the hollows without contacting me until a few months ago.

I opened my eyes sitting up.

I am living proof that you should enjoy your life moment by moment.

Never waste a moment when you can say, “I love you.

Never pass the opportunity by to hug someone you love.  Hug that person

close to you. Remember how wonderful it is that they are a part of your life.

Be grateful for small miracles we often take for granted.

Each moment is an opportunity to begin again, no matter what may seem impossible.  We are given life, and it is a wonderful gift.

Don’t diminish your spirit by dousing yourself with man’s enemies –

alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, hatred, vanity, and over-indulgence of anything that can harm you.

Time and circumstance happens to all men.

We have no real control over our lives, though we like to think we do.

The ONLY thing we have control of one hundred percent of the time, is our response to circumstances that come to us.

One moment I was thanking God for the blue sky, stars, my husband, the health of my children and grandchildren, and within a moment my life has changed forever.  I thank God all those awesome things I was thanking Him for have not changed.

I am working hard to recover from something I NEVER thought would happen to me.  For those of you who are following this blog, I will expound tomorrow, but for now I must rest.

God bless you and your loved ones.  God bless us all.  Now go hug someone or tell them you love them!

Important-Urgent-Contagious-Worldwide

January 30, 2013

This is not to make you panic but to KNOW what to do to protect you and your family; particularly small children and the elderly.

NOROVIRUS is EXTREMELY CONTAGIOUS and has no cure except TIME!  This is a new strain, unseen before.

The best way to avoid the norovirus is to wash your hands often using soap and water.  Alcohol-based hand cleansers are not effective against this virus.”

Noroviruses are the leading cause of foodborne disease outbreaks worldwide, and may soon eclipse rotaviruses as the most common cause of severe pediatric

Norovirus is a highly contagious viral illness that thrives in colder weather. Sometimes called the stomach flu, it begins suddenly and usually causes stomach cramps and nausea in addition to vomiting and diarrhea. Some people may also experience low-grade fever, chills, headache, body aches and fatigue.

The vomiting can be projectile, and the diarrhea severe, so please remember the virus stays alive for a long period of time – even after normal cleaning.

It can be on an elevator button, a railing on an elevator, salt and pepper shakers in a restaurant…even on dishes that have been watched by a thorough “normal cleaning”.

Most people recover quickly, but serious complications can occur, including death.

Small children and the elderly are highest at risk groups.  Spread the word.  Make sure nursery schools and school officials are aware of these facts.

Those infected with norovirus are contagious from the moment they begin to feel sick until as long as two weeks after recovery.

There is no vaccine to prevent norovirus infection, and there is no drug to treat it; antibiotics are ineffective.

THESE ARE THE best ways to reduce the risk of getting norovirus:

Practice good hand hygiene. Wash your hands with soap and water, especially after using the bathroom and changing diapers.  Teach your children – and monitor them – to wash with soap and water for a full thirty seconds (the length of many short children’s songs).  Tell them to wash heartily until they finish singing the song!

Clean and disinfect contaminated surfaces. After throwing up or having diarrhea, immediately clean surfaces by using bleach-based household cleaner as directed on the product label or a diluted bleach solution (5-25 tablespoons of household bleach per gallon of water). Never use undiluted bleach, but remember bleach is dangerous for children so use good judgement.

Remove and wash clothing and linens that may be contaminated with vomit or stool. Handle soiled items carefully to avoid spreading the virus. If available, wear rubber, disposable gloves while handling soiled clothing or linens and wash your hands after handling. Items should be washed with detergent at the maximum cycle length and machine dried.

Do not prepare food while infected or while you have symptoms of norovirus.

Anyone with knowledge of an outbreak should report it to their local health department.

Noroviruses are the most common cause of gastroenteritis in the U.S. It is estimated that each year, more than 20 million cases of gastroenteritis are caused by norovirus, but this years virus is a new strain.   That means that 1 in every 15 Americans will become ill from norovirus each year.

Noroviruses can spread quickly from person to person in crowded, closed places such as long-term care facilities, day care centers, schools, hotels, hospitals, family dinners, student housing, restaurants and cruise ships.

Noroviruses are found in the stool and vomit of infected people.

People can become infected by:

Eating food or drinking liquids that are contaminated with norovirus.

Touching surfaces or objects that are contaminated with norovirus, and then placing a hand in the mouth.

Having direct contact with an infected person; for example, by exposure to the virus when caring for or when sharing food, drinks, or eating utensils with an infected person.  This makes teenagers at high risk too because of growing attraction to the opposite sex, groups gathering for football games, parties, etc.  BE CAREFUL!

Though most people recover – there have been about eight hundred deaths a year…prior to this new strain.  Pay attention and be well!  Share this information.

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. Here is an idea!

January 17, 2013

In a couple of months I visualize myself in my kayak and sitting amongst all the stars the reflection from the sun on the water create. Beautiful isn’t it?
shining water
Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. Here is an idea!

During this time I am physically limited, I would like you not only to count your blessings, but also put some thanks to them while you are actively doing them! It will be kind of an experiment in recognizing blessings and being grateful for each and every one.

I will enjoy thinking of you (hopefully) pain free, doing these daily tasks.

The following list is what I call a small portion of “temporary difficult or nearly impossible tasks” list:

1. Bend down to tie your shoes, pick up a piece of paper or something you’ve dropped on the floor, or set the dog dish down – just do something that makes you bend…then to yourself, say “thank you for being able to bend without pain!”
2. Lift up something to put somewhere else – a basket of clothing, a sack of groceries, a child-especially a child! You might as well snuggle and love them when they are in your arms…then say, “thank you for” (you get it☺).
3. Sit at your computer and write, pay bills, email, whatever you like. Be thankful it doesn’t hurt and you can come and go quickly and without pillows and back rests and pain…
4. Lie down on your bed and stretch in every direction. Pull your feet towards you. Stretch your arms and your legs out and breathe. Stretching is such a pleasure if you remember to do it as such-and it is good for you! Thank God you can stretch.
5. Go for a walk. Go for a little run (I believe running is very tough on the knees, so take it easy). Skip. Jump. Stretch your arms up for the freedom and the joy of being able to do these things at all! Thank God, and if you don’t believe in God – then thank your lucky stars. It’s bigger than us little humans-that’s for sure. Personally, I have always believed in a Creator – however you see God – thank God.

Lastly in this tiny list, just get on your knees and drop your head and say prayers for whatever you like. Include yourself…for years I forgot to pray for me too! That is important. You are important.

Fortunately, I CAN drop to my knees. I just turn to my side, kind of roll off the bed with bent knees, use the bed to steady myself and guess what? It is accomplished. To get up I just use the bed and don’t have to bend my back. Yeah!

CREATE a beautiful day for you and your family and circle of friends. I will be thinking of you doing all these things. AND DON’T FORGET to laugh. Laughing is healing.

I am trying now, while I have time, to write both my blogs and work on my next little book. Don’t remember if I have mentioned that or not. I am not really got at advertising. I self-published a book entitled “A Fine Read for the Thinking Woman” (it is for men too really) – and you can purchase it at either amazonbooks.com or on kindle books. Just look up the title or my name: Marsha J. O’Brien. I hope you like it I have several more I am working on now.

Also, if you would like to check out my stressmanagementmagic.com website, I post many different articles as I specalized in that for years – maybe that’s why my husband of almost twenty-five years calls me “The Human Happy Face” :).

A Christmas Wish – Please

December 22, 2011

I have written over 500 posts and hopefully I know I do have some regular readers. I have tried to publish informative, true, funny, and important posts. I have answered almost every response, and still correspond with many of you. Today I have a request. It would actually answer a Christmas prayer for me.

My son lives in Morocco with his Moroccan wife, and their beautiful 5 month old baby. He has tried to bring them to the USA, but new laws (don’t know if it is just in Morocco, or everywhere,) that do not allow him to bring his family unless he comes alone for 6 months and works-or he has substantial money. He does not want to miss his child’s life; nor does he want to leave them.

He is earning a living by teaching and he is a fine writer. He has entered a contest which is very important in his life, and all he is asking is 5 seconds for a vote. Though
I do not understand the title – I am sure the book will turn a great tale. He is a kind and decent man and Needs this wish to come true. PLEASE take 5 seconds – such a small amount of time – and give him a vote. You don’t even have to read the first five sample pages. I will guarantee it is not trash and he is worthy of a wish come true. It’s not much to ask…..pretty please! He writes a fabulous travel log, and is working hard for his family (as anyone with love, will do. 🙂

This is is baby. Sophie

She needs daddy to be able to earn money at what he does.

This is how you do it. Go to: http://curiosityquills.com/giveaways-contests/nano-virtuosos-competition/round-two/

You don’t even have to read the five pages…just trust me, it will be good. Vote for
the first five pages of “Douchebags, Fag and Hags” (I KNOW- the title is strange, but he is a good man and I trust his works…) Don’t vote for anyone else as it will cancel his vote. Please respond to my request, and I will continue to respond to any thoughts, questions or needs you have! Pretty pretty please.

If you loose your brakes while driving……

March 18, 2010

This is just good emergency information you may not have heard. Do not turn off the engine as if you have power steering you will loose control of the wheel.

Do put your foot on the brake, shift into neutral, and try to pull off the road. That’s about all you can do, but at least you won’t be going one hundred miles an hour and endangering yourself and everyone else on the road.

(If you wonder why I posted this in each category, it’s because most of us drive!)

Be safe when driving. Courtesy is underrated, and if people think “guns” are dangerous, just remember your car is a huge and heavy piece of equipment that can be a huge danger if not driven safely.

I have been asked what happened to my stressmanagementmagic blog. I no longer write that blog, but write here:

Here is a Bible verse that I found JUST WHEN I NEEDED IT. Sometimes it happens that way.
“Even when we are too weak to have any faith left, He remains faithful to us and will help us, for He cannot disown us, who are a part of Himself, and He will always carry out His promises to us.”
2 Timothy 2:13

Have a BEAUTIFUL DAY!

Air Travelers Be Aware

July 14, 2007

The first day of my trip I really did stand in line for 7 1/2 hours. No one from the airlines told anyone in line what the problem was and why so many flights were canceled.

As I stood at the end of the line, I was comforted by the knowledge I teach stress management. I
knew this would test me, and that I would rise above the situation. Phew! So many people and such strong stress vibrations early in the day already permeating the air.

I immediately called the airlines and stuck out waiting on the cell for almost an hour. When I finally got through I was given no reason WHY flights were canceled, but found that after the representative checked every other airline, I would not be able to flight out until the next morning.

I grabbed a flight and a seat. Still it was necessary to stand in line all day to confirm the flight and get my ticket. As the hours passed I was able to share some “stress management techniques” with many people in line. I actually taught breathing and tried to share positive thoughts and affirmations. In doing so, it helped me too.
flight-sitting.jpg

At the 6th hour in line many people began to sit down and take turns running to get food or drink.
Everyone was exhausted, but to the credit of these hundreds of people, security was called only once to calm a man down.

Towards the end of the day I was about the 20th in line and one of the agents waved me to his counter. I don’t know why, but he picked me and another lady out of the line and said he would
help us.

She was not so fortunate as I was. My daughter lives in San Francisco and so I spent the night with her. This lady had a thick accent (not sure from what country). He told her she would not be able to fly out until Saturday. She began to cry and I tried to comfort her and put my arm around her. She was grateful and pulled herself together a bit.

Anyway, she accepted the flight and left to go to the restroom. I had already made a reservation earlier and so I just needed a ticket and confirmation. I looked for her as I wanted to take her with me to my daughter’s place and help her, but she was gone….

So here is the deal. BE PREPARED. Once you are checked through security, make sure you buy a container of water to carry with you. Also, bring nuts, health bars, fruit, whatever you can keep with you to snack on if you need it. Wear comfortable shoes, and don’t wear a dress! I had a skirt and blouse on and there was no way I could sit on the floor and maintain being a lady. The skirt was too short. So I stood all day.

Be kind to one another if you find yourself in this position. I was the first to get through to the airlines and several women asked if I would keep the rep on the line so they could talk directly without waiting any longer. Of course that was fine with me.

There were two men in line trying to get home to Texas to flooded homes, one woman who’d been trapped on that American Airlines for 10 hours, children of all ages, and all kinds of different people. I was proud to be a human that day!

There is still a fine pulling together of people in tough situations. Hearts were open. We rather became family….even exchanging emails and cell phone numbers. So if something like this happens to you, just remember:

TAKE A BREATH. CIRCUMSTANCES HAPPEN THAT WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER – BUT WE ALWAYS HAVE THE CHOICE ON HOW WE RESPOND! Keep your spirits up and keep in mind,
YOU can make a difference to yourself and others by your actions.
