Unhappy Californians

May 19, 2018

The following paragraph are from four different publications, though they sound like they all copied lines from each other. Californians (8 out of 10) are disgruntled. Many have moved, many are considering a move, and many can’t afford to move. California has the highest rate of poverty in the states.

A Public Policy Institute of California survey shows Gov. Jerry Brown’s Proposition 30, which would temporarily increase the state sales tax and income taxes on those earning at least $250,000 a year, ahead, 52 percent to 40 percent.

Brown was elected with strong support from unions and has governed in a way
that usually puts their priorities first. The Democratic Party, which controls every statewide constitutional office and could soon have two-thirds control of both houses of the Legislature, is always doing the bidding of the unions. If this doesn’t change, it’s hard to envision an optimistic future here.

Even the San Francisco Chronicle, which opposed Prop. 32 in an editorial, grasps the heart of the problem: “There is no question that organized labor has a powerful grip on the state Capitol, and that works against the public’s interest on issues such as education reform, government efficiency and pension reform.”

Currently nine out of 10 residents … describe the state’s economy as being in bad times.” The data is a couple months old, but nothing suggests any drastic change since then.
Meanwhile, the latest polling for the two highest-profile November ballot initiatives brings good news for those who embrace the status quo. A Public Policy Institute of California survey shows Gov. Jerry Brown’s Proposition 30, which would temporarily increase the state sales tax and income taxes on those earning at least $250,000 a year, ahead, 52 percent to 40 percent.

Californians enter this campaign season in an unusually unhappy state. In the latest Public Policy Institute of California Statewide Survey, about 7 in 10 likely voters expect bad economic times, see the state and nation going in the wrong direction, and disapprove of the job that the president, Congress and the state Legislature are doing.

Voter frustration – about immigration and Iraq at the national level, and on health care and the budget at the state level – has taken a toll. Californians appear ready to express themselves at the ballot box. A record 9.1 million voted in the February presidential primary. Voter registration has increased and at last count was 16.1 million.

As the Field Poll revealed in July, “Californians have had an extremely gloomy view of the state’s economy since 2008 … . Currently nine out of ten residents … describe the state’s economy as being in bad times.” The data is a couple months old, but nothing suggests any drastic change since then.
Meanwhile, the latest polling for the two highest-profile ballot initiatives for November are good news for those who embrace the status quo. A new poll by the Public Policy Institute of California shows Gov. Jerry Brown’s tax-hiking Proposition 30, which would temporarily increase sales taxes and income taxes on those earning more than $250,000 a year, ahead 52 percent to 40 percent. By the way, how often have you met a tax hike that actually goes away?

Such bullshit flies every day in California while the middle class slips into poverty. Did you know moonbeam (governor brown) mentioned yesterday the California government has a “rainy-day fund of $9 billion dollars? Soon to be 16 billion!
So why are Californians still dealing with DMV rules coming up that will put many individual truck owners, and some companies out of business. So why is gas and diesel so high…the only “impovements” I see in roads in California are quick fixes that look like crap.
Most Californians I know are wonderful people and have a heart…but they do not want a sanctuary state. Citizens are legal. Why harbor people who have entered illegally, and get perks on top of it? If they are already breaking the law, WHY keep them safe and make it comfortable.
Other countries have found this does not work! If they break the law once, what is to stop them from doing it again? For those who have been here 20 years and are working – WHY haven’t they become citizens. This is the UNITED STATES of America, with American citizens! Does not matter the race or history of origin…but it does matter that they love this country enough to adopt our traditions and live by our Constitution.
The tide is turning for conservatives in California. I think it is because so many hard working citizens are sick of the tide of illegals coming in and getting everything free…and because we don’t have a clue who they are, really! Something has to give. I know, let’s take all the illegals and early release prisoners, and the homeless and put them on Pelosi’s or moonbeams property.
They are rich, they have plenty of land and money to share. Just think they could actually see what its all about.

I am not heartless.  I have a big heart, but there is a time you have to stand up and be a warrior for what you believe and what you know to be true.  I don’t want anyone to suffer…..and that includes all the hard-working, legal citizens, who need a bit of consideration too.

California – “Say what?”

January 18, 2018

I read the that the state has 19 billion in reserves . Also 11 billion in a “rainy day fund”…”that is ASSUMING…..lawmakers -“Could” spend 7.5 billion of the surplus, and part will “PROBABLY” go to schools.

The words assuming, could, and probably make me just a tad nervous! I tried for two days to find who does the checks and balances on the government reporting, but to no avail.

Also saw on news yesterday the “projected” (another sketchy word) in the first part of the bullet train – which no citizen voted nay or yea on – has gone up 35% to 10.6 billion. Total cost “estimated” at 67 billion dollars.

Didn’t mention how it is being paid for; I can only assume the 2nd increase in vehicles at the DMV is part, along with property tax increase and such…but even with ALL the monies Ca. has, there is still a huge shortage to reach 67 billion dollars.

The governor’s budget summary – 2018-2019 looks vastly different than anything I have read before. For the governor being so verbally environmentally enthusiastic, the numbers in these
Charts do not reflect it. What they do show is revenues and transfers are huge ,which in actuality lays the burden on TAX paying citizens….some of the highest in the nation! (www.ebudget.ca.gov/2018-19)

Jan. 30, 2017. “2.3 million illegal immigrants in Ca.”
“Cost per year ranges to $135. Billion in one year – public funds! (2016)
Some illegals do pay income tax, but only totally to about 11.5 million dollars.

All in all it was a disappointing day of trying to verify facts, though I spent hours, and went to multiple sources to derive information. I admit I drifted from one subject to another, just a tad. 🙂

Liberal, conservative or there is truly an answer to please whatever it is you support!

Don’t worry too much. Not a helluva lot we can do. Although I would love to see Ca. Roads get some attention. Not everyone will be able to ride the bullet train! Kind of makes me vomit in my mouth a bit when I write about it.

Are you a boy? A girl? or a third gender… a “non-binary gender”?

October 24, 2017

We have been “primed” to be tolerant towards those holding “other opinions” regarding personal makeup as a human. “Don’t be a bigot”.

We have been forced to accept that which goes against our own personal beliefs, in the name of understanding. For instance the plight of all homeless and former prisoners. “Its not their faults. They need help.”

If we hesitate to accept the things pushing us together for a different agenda, we are guilted, blamed, punished, condemned and told we think we are better than others!

The governor of California has gone too far this time…at least for me. I try to listen and be open to the stories of those who are lesbian, gay, and transgender. Though I know (I have done the homework) that the percentage of lesbian, gay, and transgender people is minuscule in comparison with the entire population of citizens of the USA….Just a tad over 3.5 % (11,270,000 )in a population of 322 million people! … That leaves 310,999.730 people who are supposed to accommodate the demands of that 3.5%. Really?

Are the rest of us to set aside our time, energy and beliefs to accommodate this? All right, let’s say we try to mind our own business and “accept” the rights of other humans. Fine. But personally, when an owner of a bakery refuses to decorate a wedding cake for two men who are marrying, should he / or she should not be reprimanded? What happened to the business owners rights? What about “I have the right to refuse the use of my business to anyone I choose!” Do not the 332 million people who are sited as “normal” not have any rights any more?

The icing on the cake, so to speak, governor brown, of california, has gone too far this time for me. Along with two liberal senators, one from San Diego, and one from San Francisco (the freak capital of california, he just put through a law stating it is okay now if “someone who does not know if they are man or woman, to put that on a drivers license, or identification- as a non-binary gender.

In otherwords they have “created” a “third gender”. Who in the hell do these people think they are? gods?

There are a VERY RARE FEW cases who have been born with one too many, or one too little of the x or y chromosome. Meaning they TRUly have a physical problem that will require attention in the lives of these people. These cases, let me repeat, are RARE!

They (those who are extreme liberal, rich and powerful) are bending the minds of all who listen and accept this. I call BS. All they are doing is creating total confusion in the minds of young adults, and really in the minds of children. Humans tend to form thoughts from what they see and hear. With media acceptance, and legal acceptance – why it must be true…we have a third gender. (God might have missed this in creating us!). I am appalled!

This is being taught in many pre-schools…if you don’t like being a girl you can be a boy. Acceptance is being taught in schools. The media, some very big liberals in politics, and hollyweird are promoting how this is okay….it’s NOT. Teachers and retail stores are being told no longer call students boys and girls -no longer have separate sections: Call them children. Have no division in children’s clothing.
NO NO NO.

Moonbeam was a piece of garbage his last “reign” – so was his father before him!.. Really? A third gender? I THINK NOT.

I will not accept a third gender as commonplace. I will not accept training our young people that they can change genders if they like…until 7 or 8 they really don’t understand all the concepts of their physical bodies.

The TRUTH is: Boys have balls and a penis. Girls have breasts and a vagina. I HAVE DONE MY HOMEWORK.  I have read percentages, reports of psychologists, all about genders, etc. etc. etc. The incidence of this happening as I wrote before, is RARE.

God help us all.
