Here is a thought on understanding. No one person has more pain than another. We all suffer in this life-time. Mental anguish, physical pain, both can be staggering, and both can disable a person.
Try as you may, you will never be able to get directly into the mind of someone else, and have the same trials that they may face. We are all human, yet we are all different. We need to join together in understanding each person handles pain differently.
Some people can tolerate pain better than others, and some people may have no knowledge of the power we have within our minds to bear the burden and help heal our own pain.
Some pain will never diminish completely, and therefore we must adapt, we must use our wits about us to find acceptance and a way to handle it.
After all we are the ONLY one who knows our suffering aside from God. He will always help you to find a way to grow beyond your limitations, and still become that wonderful person from within.
Pray. Think in terms of “I am healing”, “I am doing the best I can”, “I can handle whatever happens”, and so forth. My mama gave me a great reason to keep going. She said, “I must be strong for my children and my grandchildren. I will make them proud of me, and prepare them for what may come.” She showed me by carrying herself with the strength of a mighty warrior, and rarely complaining.
Breathe. Think about your breathing and use this gift. You will create energy and relax simultaneously. You will create pain medication from within, and will find, with practice, you are able to divert your own attention from the pain, even perhaps, helping someone else who may be suffering.
Remember when you see someone with a weakened body, or injured, give their mind another reason to try….share a smile with them. Talk to them. Understand they may be struggling. For as you give…..you SHALL receive.! Create a day worthwhile with love and understanding.
Take a breath slowly in through the nose. Hold it. Visualize it helping you, and now exhale through the mouth slowly, visualizing pain and negativity dissipating as you exhale. Repeat this often. When you feel overwhelmed – breathe! Share the knowledge with someone and you will reap the rewards as well.
You are loved!

I am really irritated. For you football players that “bend” a knee, GO SOMEPLACE ELSE AND TRY TO EARN THE MONEY YOU MAKE IN THE USA! ALSO, IF YOU THINK WE ARE RACIST – GO SOMEPLACE ELSE – BECAUSE every human being on the planet has his or her prejudices! GOODBYE!
This thing has got me going…These spoiled athletes, who “protest” to make a difference, aren’t! All they are doing is dividing people and causing conflicts.
I won’t apologize or say, “everyone has a right to their opinion! Those who have exposure and liberal media behind them, have more than the rights of the individual peasants who really own and reside and pay taxes and live and honor and love America!!!
I am sick of people making pathetic excuses to be weak and not stand up for what they believe. Humans ALL OVER THE WORLD would give everything they own to have the opportunity afforded them in the USA…prejudice? I am white, a woman, my son says I am attractive, and I lived in a moderately financed home when I was small. My mom and dad paid $5,000. for their home…therefore I am BLAMED for the racial prejudice and horrible things going on today. Neither here nor there. I am not to blame! I had no choice how I was born, how I look, my brains, my position in life, the whole ball of wax- draw of the cards!
These athletes, who are probably too young and too rich to remember World War II or even the Koran War or Vietnam, do not get it! PROTEST you MF’ers (Malfunctioning , Flawed humans) – and stay BLIND! If you want to drop on your knee, you had better be doing it in honor of the greatest Spirit of all, who created us!
FOR ME, to stand with hand on heart during the National Anthem means I honor all those who have suffered and died, and those who have lived with horrible disabilities…to keep us free! I honor their sacrifices and the sacrifices their families made, and still make! Our National Anthem is a symbol of our country, and the flag- another symbol of this great country we live in…of the blood shed to keep us free!
Athletes kneeling to protest brutality and inequality? The only thing they do is cause more difficulty, and more separating of people. Look up TRUE facts and you will find more people of color KILL their own than police! Yes the brutality to blacks by police officers can be harsh, but it is laid upon suspects and criminals by officers that are black too! AND, oftentimes the brutality BEGINS with those suspects and criminals fighting the police first! WHAT WOULD YOU DO??
Oprah is one of the richest women in the world, a man who is proud to be black (though that is each person’s opinion) was president, black athletes are multi-millionaires, black actors are millionaires – so wherein is all the inequality? Poverty is the culprit, and there are very poor white people in this country too!
AS FAR AS THE CLASPING OF ARMS – my personal opinion, “throw-up, gag, vomit.” Purely BS (Brilliant Strategy ) by, I am sure, managers who encouraged players to show “Unity” even if they don’t drop to their knee. Well, DUH, they have to show unity to keep people buying tickets, and to keep misleading the meaning of what their are doing.
SHOW UNITY TO YOUR PROVIDERS:
Drop to your knee to praise God! People are born with physical attributes, so don’t take too much credit for natural skills your were born with-be grateful.
Unify as citizens of the greatest country in the world by standing with your hand on your heart facing the flag “ White signifies purity and innocence. Red, hardiness & valour, and Blue… signifies vigilance, perseverance & justice.”. The stars represent the “union” of the states. Added to the description in 1977: “The star is a symbol of the heavens and the divine goal to which man has aspired from time immemorial, and the stripe symbolic of the rays of light emanating from the sun.”….
Sing our National Anthem! “ An anthem is “A patriotic musical composition that evokes and eulogizes the history, traditions, and struggles of its people, recognized either by a nation’s government as the official national song, or by convention through use by the people.”
I admit it is difficult to sing and the range is beyond me, but at least I will stand with my hand over my heart and try!

MY PERSONAL OPINION:
I think, NO MATTER how you voted, we should try to be open to support OUR president. If I had been a multimillionaire with a beautiful wife and children – the last thing I would want to do is take on on the headaches and trauma’s some presidents are forced to face. He can always be voted out, and thus far, his sending help to Texas, Florida and now Puerto Rico has been commendable.
I have watched, in my lifetime, N. Korea cause MANY problems prior to this. He did not cause the current problems. I do think he should limit his tweets, but it is his way of trying to reach out to people and state his thoughts. Just because he is president doesn’t mean he doesn’t have free speech. (He should refrain from swearing, I think.) I do love the way he doesn’t pussy foot around and apologize for America. Everyone knows you must stand up to a bull or he will walk all over you!
I agree with his stance on honoring the flag, and National Anthem – which represents all those men and women who have been wounded and died to keep our nation free. As a woman I have enjoyed football, but this was NOT about race. I love my freedom. Hence, I will not honor those who besmear the flag or anthem, and disgrace those who have given so much.
I will live without big time football viewing on television or internet, or in person. These multi-million spoiled children need to know when to protest. If they choose NOT to honor America in these ways, that is their right, but stay in the locker rooms as a sign of respect. If you don’t love AMERICA….who has made you wealthy, LEAVE!
By the way, “the poor will always be with us”. We are born in bodies we do not choose, and in towns and financial conditions we have no choice about either. Racism was NOT born in the USA. It was born in another place, and grew because someone (of color)- chose money over anything else!
Obama was not my favorite president. It wasn’t because he was black, but because during his time I saw racism bloom again, and distain for our men in blue grow exponentially. Use the word “decisive”, a word the media has sat squarely on Trump, and you will be just following those who’s tongues hang out on every word that is printed or spoken by them. obama was
decisive. “Keep your doctor, keep a plan you like…”
I know Americans are relentless in “giving” to causes that help other humans in need. God bless us one and all for doing what we can. It doesn’t matter if you are grocery shopping, or on line or television, peasants are plagued by requests for CASH. May I say again, ANY of these VERY VERY rich sob’s who have millions upon millions, and billions, could all pitch in and help those in need and they would still be rich….and the matters would be resolved-all around the world could be helped. Come on Oprah, Bill Gates, ANY movie talent, congress members, members of the United Nations, george soros (HAHA), George Clooney, comedians, football players, and SO SO MANY MORE!
It won’t happen. They may donate time to raise money. They may donate a pittance (and to peasants it seems a lot), when actually it is cheap advertising….alas, we can pray, and volunteer, and do what we can…and we will, for our Spirits are rich.
Last thought for the day….”Football players who feel they must protest – please just leave the space until the “honors” are done. Find another way to protest other than dropping to the knee!
Do not drop to the knee as a show of disrespect, or in a misplaced way of showing displeasure for something that wasn’t even at the forefront of the conversation. Get over yourselves!
I reserve dropping to the knee to humbly pray and show my respect to the Greatest Spirit of All.

GOOD MORNING! Good morning my brothers and sisters. To be writing and to be reading means we are alive and I say thank you Great Spirit, Creator beyond our understanding and comprehension……thank you! Counselor who never tires of hearing my prayers, and never leaves me.
You have given us heart and the ability to smile. You have given human beings the instant spark to be strong and open to helping others when the need is great.
You have given us strength of mind and body when tragedy comes upon us, to rise and to move onward and upward.
You are the song in my heart and the backbone in this tenacious and weary body. You have given me the power to move beyond my own ability and the drive to go on…
The mysteries of the skies and beauty of the wispy clouds that run across the warm of the sun, but for a moment, are wonders to behold.
You have given us an appetite to learn more about everything we see and touch.
Often I have given less than I was able because sometimes I am only human, and forget that I have you within me, to brighten my outlook and stretch beyond my limits.
You have given me faith. From whence it comes I know not, but like the ocean breeze it cools and wets my face awakening this beating heart to begin again.
With the light of the day my mind begins to challenge me to get up and move and make this fine instrument once again, regardless of the pressing in of life, open my arms and lift them to praise you for so many miracles that happen each moment, many of which we simply do not take the time or energy to recognize.
Like an old friend, I trust you to elevate my thoughts, strength my mind, bring peace and happiness from within and let it burst into fruition to add to life for me and those in my circle of life.
Thank you oh Great Spirit of forgiveness, patience, and love. Thank you for knowing I cannot understand it all. For that which does not come to me clearly – please forgive me. I will try again to make you happy in my creation, after all is said and done.
I was given so much, and all you ask is that I have faith and love.
My blessed Creator, you are the grandest of all, and yet I am free to address you and love you. Mysterious and amazing.
Lovingly, your humble servant,
Marsha

GOOD GOOD MORNING! I am alive and ready to eat the day! I plan to make it sumptuous!
No matter what the weather my heart will be elevated because I have the choice – one hundred percent, to carry this day to heaven or hell. Heaven it will be!
I will be grateful for that which has been given to me by the grace of God. Grateful for that innate ability to laugh every day (of course there are exceptions) – but not often. Grateful for every tiny blessing that profoundly lifts my life to a rapid but gentle current from hour to hour.
I stopped and said a prayer a moment ago. I asked thanked God and asked for guidance.
Even if you don’t “know” what you believe….pray daily and do your best. I can”t guarantee you sixty thousand dollars in ten days after posting this and sending it to 10 friends (I am silly), but I will GUARANTEE if you pray just a prayer every morning and do your best, you will be happier, and God will direct your tootsies around the mud puddles, and elevate your thoughts and “reactions” to life, to a smile for no reason.
We rarely trust in ourselves. Pray a tiny prayer consistently for a month and then afterward, simply do your best, make the best choices you can, and HELP WILL COME YOU WAY – and happiness!
I PROMISE. (Keep believing someone bigger than you is taking over and QUIT that tiresome and useless worry.). Worry is exhausting and does nothing to change things!
Also, be careful if you use candles, or one of those fragrance things that needs a candle to disburse the fragrance. Enthusiastically I blew hard to get out the tiny candle and I blew hot wax all over the place! I didn’t get burned, but I started laughing right away, because if I didn’t have enough to do, now I had to clean up this mess!

Oh well. I can climb a mountain (slowly and carefully of course), so I can certainly clean up wax and still meet all these “important” tasks that loom over our heads each day. That “stuff” will get done….but HAPPINESS and JOY in your life are the real goal! You will make others smile and laugh too. Now get to it, and blow the candle out softly. 🙂

My husband says when I shop and just slam things in the refrigerator because I am on a roll to do “other things”, before the heat sets in, I create bombs!
Well………BOOM! Opened it and sure enough the unbreakable bowl flew out and dropped directly before me on the carpet – and the bowl into slivers. It was a strange break. So much for an unbreakable dish!

Choices. I could have cried. But instead I chose to laugh. It did seem funny and trivial in the scheme of things. An unbreakable bowl, red taco sauce on the carpet, and having to fix something else for dinner. Sniff, sniff, boo-hoo – just kidding! I laughed. I did create a bomb. Just glad it didn’t land on my toes!
Onward and upward. Laugh when you can, cry if need be, walk away if possible, fight only for life, and pray, pray, pray! Choose to create bountiful moments one right after the other. It is MUCH MORE FUN to keep the sense of humor in tact.
I am counting on you to take charge of your “moments” and even if you blow it one moment – start again – the next!
If any of you have read my stressmanagementmagic.com blog, that particular website disappeared, along with (if I don’t have copies somewhere) over 200 posts! So I will let you know when and if I am going to start another. In the meantime I will probably just combine the stress management information with this blog!
CREATE your day. No matter what happens, you have the choice to REACT 100% of the time, however you choose. I choose happy!

Easier said than done. However in order to enjoy my day I am going to now allow myself 15 minutes to breathe mindfully, to stretch easily, and to pray to keep my mind in a positive mode.
The reason I am feeling in need of a brief “regenerative relaxation” is because I just spent a bit more time than I planned on my stressmanagementmagic.com blog. My subject was about the homeless and the plight of us all, therein.
It may have sounded negative, but I believe I ended the post with ideas to help however many individuals choose to follow. I follow my own advice. I also allow myself to regenerate and relax after writing something that made my blood boil for a moment or two.
CREATE a beautiful day for yourself. I will be in the process of doing the same as soon as this post is posted! God help and bless us all.
FYI: if you read that blog, remember I have helped people, and will continue to do so when I can and feel the situation is real.

“Times are tough now” I heard someone say. I thought that to my knowledge, human times have always been tough. My husband came home from work last night exhausted. He has a dynamite work ethic, loyalty to his company – and he always goes the extra mile. It’s so unfair to him that I am no longer able to do what I used to do before becoming disabled.
What about you? Is your husband, or mate, or partner or whatever name you use for the person you share your life with, able to find work? Newly out of work?
If you have children, are a single parent, or have the similar good traits my husband has, it has to be one of the most difficult times in your lives. But no worries, just when things quiet down and are in hand, another challenge will arise for you to meet! I’m not kidding and I’m not being sarcastic. It is the truth.
Just keep in mind, if you love someone, you really have no choice but to continue endeavoring to make ends meet. Nothing was ever handed to us, and my husband looks at me when I commend him for all his work and he simply says, “I don’t have a choice.”
You don’t if you don’t want to be a dependent product of this society. You can scheme and cheat, but you will never be at peace within – unless of course you are a politician! That’s a whole different story. At least a billion dollars spent on attaining the office of president all added up. It is ridiculous. It is also ridiculous that as soon as the politicians start “smoozing” the public, suddenly there are no wars, no starvation, no illegal immigrant problem. The only thing happening is a bunch of people (maybe one or two still with morals and values) – fighting to be president. I digress……
Be careful when there is no work. The tendency for humans is to seek relief. “Take the edge” off of the stress. “Relax for a while.”
This gives birth to a whole new problem. Relief with alcohol, prescription drugs, illegal drugs, an affair (sadly this can happen) – an entire spin-off of new problems that can be worse than pinching pennies. A newly inadequate way to handle the problems is to turn to technology. Technology, for all its wonder, is TEARING THE STRENGTH OF AMERICA into shreds. Disassembling the family. Any poor way to handle problems can be found on the Internet.
It fills the heads of children and adults with UNrealistic persons who seem to care. Adventures that take a person away from REALity. It is one of the most dangerous weapons that was ever created. There is a prophecy in Native American culture that says when there is a web around the world,it is the beginning of the end.
MONITOR yourselves. Be aware of signs and signals that may suggest that something else besides exhaustion is going on. I have NO concrete answer for handling all that can happen. I only have suggestions. Some suggestions that, I have seen over the years, really help to mend the tear in the foundation of your family or the persons in your life that matter.
My best selection of ways to get through this is from people I have known and counseled over the years – 40 years. (That’s scary and another adventure to face: aging). Back to current times.
- Pray, trust God and seek fellow human beings that believe in similar things. Where there are two or three gathered together, there is power untold provided to us. But this resolve calls for FAITH. It calls for believing in power that cannot be seen; in trusting in more than you. My faith has increased substantially since my accident. I was called upon to use what I’ve always said I have, and that was my faith and belief of the power of prayer. I’ve seen others heal through “using” what they verbally say they believe.
- Keep looking. Think about “realistically” seeking a modified position of your old career – or a new career entirely. Keep looking.
- Sit down with your VIP and discuss ways to cut expenses. Plan meals – it is cheaper than fast food and better for you. If you PLAN, you can cut costs.
- Say NO to frivolous purchases. Don’t just snap, but give others the benefit of being a human (often a child WILL understand as appreciate being included) We all “want things”. LIMIT TV and COMPUTER time. That limits commercials.
- Keep a positive attitude. Don’t fight about petty things. It takes two to make a war. Use your intellect. Use love. Stay hopeful! PRAY.

Renew my confidence in your promises, and let your Spirit enfold my heart and hold it towards your love and steadfastness.
I am humbled and ready to finish this tapestry of my life in a fashion that will imbue the majesty of YOU.
Let me increase my light from a flicker to burn brightly, filling whereever my essence is seen or heard, with your magical and majestic love.
Let my love increase, permeating all that is part of the moments I am given to live on this planet earth.
Even in pray meant to praise I am still a child asking for your Glory to fill that part of me reserved within, that is especially meant for you. Without you I am an empty vessel.
With you, my love and peace overflow. I am filled and renewed and able to move onward and upward.
On those days when I feel so far away, and my prayers feel like empty words, forgive me. I know that you know, because of my tenacious yearning for you, even when I am overwhelmed with sorrow and pain, you are near, waiting for the moment once again, that my faith in my unseen Savior and God will draw me home.
If it is thy will, let me touch hearts and spirts and speak with thy love.
If it is thy will, let me fly in my dreams once again.
All these things I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, whom I love and adore.
